Now What?

The world shutdown to slow the spread of COVID-19 in March. As a small business, Frederick Mountain Group continues to experience ups and downs just like many of you. Frederick Mountain Group also made a promise to stand by our clients. We continue to watch the news, stay up to date on relief legislation, and follow announcements from the Small Business Administration and the Treasury Department on loan forgiveness and new funding sources. We are proud that Jenn Ford, FMG President, is part of the Wyoming Governor’s COVID-19 Response Task Force.

What comes next?

First, we want you all to know that we are still with you. Many of you have experienced COVID-19 directly as outbreaks spread through your staff, families, and communities. We have developed COVID-19 protocol templates for business owners across the country. If you need a template, please contact us.

Disaster Funding

If you received an Economic Injury Disaster Loan or an Economic Injury Disaster Advance, please check in with your accountant, or accounting department to ensure those funds are appropriately classified on your financial books. If you received funding from an SBA Lender (Payroll Protection Program, SBA(7)), please be sure to check your terms and conditions with your bank or lending partner before the end of the year. Also, you should be sure your financial records properly classified those funds for 2020 tax purposes.

End of Year & the Holiday Season

The effects of the pandemic and the economic shutdowns have been unevenly distributed. In some areas of the country, businesses have been shut down for months. Here in Wyoming, we have businesses that have had their busiest summer, and now busiest fall, in many years.

As a result of this uneven economic impact, we have created tailored selling solutions for the holiday season. For many businesses, the holiday season is a critical time for revenue generation. With ongoing COVID-19 outbreaks, it is critical that you have an online strategy and a “touchless” strategy for selling products and servicing your customers.

We will be presenting a webinar for Wyoming residents through the Wyoming Small Business Development Center on Wednesday, October 28th. If you are a Wyoming resident, please sign up here for free (
